The MHHA was founded in 1997 and began accumulating historical documents, photographs and artifacts in order to fulfill its mandate of preserving historical information relating to Morin Heights and the surrounding area. These materials were donated by existing and past residents allowing us to accumulate an impressive collection that we use as the basis for public presentations and displays that are set up at community events. We also use the images and documents when producing publications such as our “Porcupine”, a journal of the history of Morin Heights.
We are currently installing a specialized computer program so that we can digitize all these records making them more easily accessible for our purposes and for interested parties, on request.
If you have documents or other materials that may be of historical significance, or wish to request information from MHHA, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be happy to discuss them with you.
